Heavy rainfall over Argentina did some decent damage to soybean crops last month. Recent vegetative satellite imagery shows less favorable conditions compared to short term averages. Essentially, additional crop losses in estimates out of the country could be forthcoming and will need close watching.

The next image shows how this lines up with areas of much greater than normal rainfall over Argentina and Uruguay.The image shows where too much rain caused flooding to soybean fields across Argentina and Uruguay, matching up with deteriorating satellite imagery of the area in terms of vegetative health.
