Another strong Spring storm is expected into the central US this weekend. This will bring heavy rainfall to areas already a bit wet. The first image shows rainfall amounts through Sunday early evening with much of the Plains seeing several inches. It will also be quite wet across the Great Lakes to Ohio Valley. There will be a sharp drop off in precipitation where the northern Plains dries out a bit. The second image shows rainfall totals the past 14 days and highlights how the central US has seen a bit too much recently, with this next storm expected to stall crop plantings. Also note how the US Delta area was able to dry out a bit after receiving heavy rains the previous month.
