Crop prices were higher earlier today after yesterday’s USDA crop progress report showed bullish trends with corn and soybean plantings falling further behind pace, while hard winter wheat crop conditions worsened. Corna and wheat prices have since sold off mid-morning, likely on better weather conditions coming to the corn belt to aid plantings, as well as rains into the winter wheat belt to likely improve crop conditions for the next report.
Rainfall totals for yesterday, May 2nd.
